Four years after their first performance together, the experimental rock group known as Atoms For Peace released their debut album, Amok, on February 25. The group consists of Radiohead singer Thom Yorke and producer Nigel Godrich, Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, Joey Waronker of Beck and R.E.M., and Mauro Refosco. London’s electronic music duo Nero released their debut album, Welcome Reality, back in August of last year. Nero consists of producers Daniel Stephens and Joe Ray, while Alana Watson provides the vocals. The indie/electro/alternative band Phantogram dropped their debut album, Eyelid Movies, in February of last year. This NY-based duo consists of guitarist Josh Carter and keyboardist Sarah Barthel. The two began their music careers together in 2007 and two years later released their first EP. Overall, Eyelid Movies received generally positive reviews and features hit tracks like ”Mouthful of Diamonds” and “When I’m Small.” If “Mouthful of Diamonds” sounds familiar, it’s because it was sampled by hip hop artist OnCue on “Your Own Supply,” which was posted last month.
