The Philadelphia-based hip hop group known as Jedi Mind Tricks have been releasing albums independently ever since their formation in the late nineties. In October, the group released their seventh studio album, Violence Begets Violence. The fourteen-track project is the first album without Stoupe the Enemy of Mankind primarily behind production, but instead features multiple producers. The album has received mixed reviews since its release, but long-time JMT fans will still appreciate the heavy (and sometimes aggressive) lyrics from Vinnie Paz and Jus Allah.
