The man who makes up one-third of the hip hop group Dilated Peoples released his debut album late last month with the Minneapolis-based label, Rhymesayers Entertainment. Cats & Dogs is Evidence’s first solo album since 2007′s The Weatherman LP. In anticipation of his latest release, the Los Angeles-based rhymer dropped a Beatles’ inspired mixtape back in December, titled I Don’t Need Love. Evidence’s new album features verses from a variety of talented artists, including Aesop Rock and Atmosphere’s Slug in “Late For The Sky.”
